Frozen Gecko Design features the photography of Rainer Wenzl. His work has been published in many international publications and exhibited in numerous galleries. Rainer captures the qualities of the "unseen" that express the sense of wonder that he feels in his daily existence. He expresses himself by combining modern imaging with traditional alternative printing processes.
Rainer's images are captured using a variety of methods, ranging from traditional Black & White film photography to contemporary digital imaging. The resulting images are processed using historical printing processes, such as, cyanotype and gum-bichromate printing. These processes allow him to achieve a painterly expression in his work which is further manipulated using watercolour, oils and a variety of other mixed media.
Rainer has created numerous wedding photographs and portraits using this method.
The most recent pieces are gum-bichromate prints that are printed on sea-grape leaves and newspaper clippings. The newspaper clippings reflect the current issues affecting the environment.
